Laws have been passed against hording and stockpiling food, also against price gouging. Both food & fuel are rationed. All restaurants, cinemas, and malls are closed. President Obama has shutdown all airports, except for military use.

President Hillary Clinton is dead, VP John Edwards has taken command. The city is dark and no cars are on the street. It is gloomy and near silent outside except for insects and distant fires that burn out of control. It is estimated that over 90% of the global population is dead.
A few shortwave radio stations are still operational. The United States as well as the rest of the world is in a state of total chaos. Pres John says that a new vaccine by Eli Lilly shows promise.
On the night side, planet earth from space is dark. It is very scary.
I hope that since our timeline is different that neither of these two scenarios will take place.
