OK some say use the Pickens Plan, but we need a lot of windmills to get more electrical energy. Other want a strategic long term energy policy due to balance of trade concerns. They seems to forget that it will take a long time to convert all our infrastructure and get people to buy electric cars. The peak oil peril is that we will grind to a halt when the machine we can no longer grease. Right now we need to get started with alternative energy. That said, we can start now.
