Ongs Hat is suppose to exist in a certain region. A gate way to a new universe. Certainly does seem interesting to me. Earth 2 is a forest area. Like there are no cities, and people there use to be none. Perhaps settlers from Ongs Hat are attracted to its pristine appearance.
