People do worry. Hey, an asteroid could hit the earth soon. Well, we do hope that is not so. After all, we would like to enjoy life some. Basically, that would make things a lot worse. Cockroaches would probably survive.

Asteroid near earth
Today an asteroid 2011 MD came near. It almost hit us. However, it did miss. God, thank you. Damage if it hit NYC is would have been a disaster max major. Hey, we are lucky because that would have been a major hypercatastrophe. I have a feeling that we will not be so lucky in coming years.

asteroid over Indonesia
Asteroid exploded over Indonesia. It was not seen by earth telescopes until it was too late. People we are going to get hit real soon. Expect the only alert to be a loud sonic boom coming on with no warning.

Did an asteriod cause an ancient NYC tsunami?
It happened thousands of years ago, but it is believed that a meteor about 33 feet in size slammed into the Atlantic ocean with tremendous force. What is the evidence? Nano diamonds found in Hudson river silt points to the possibility of an asteroid in ancient times, but we are not sure if an ancient asteroid hit NYC and cause a tsunami.
