IBM 5100

IBM 5100 was described by John Titor who claimed to come from 2036. This was one of the first portable computers ever. It could run IBM mainframe programs. Well, how it worked we are not sure. Still, why did people in 2036 need 1975 tech anyway. Yeah, that is still a mystery to me.

Forests help to purify our air. They remove carbon dioxide and add oxygen. Plants make it possible for people to breath air on our world that is so green. Actually, there is something mystical about a forest to me. A Thick Forest

2012 was a HOT one

2012 was a HOT one. Fact is, one of the hottest years ever. People do blame global warming. Yeah, we had one warm summer. Also, it was very dry with no rain. OK as a result we had a poor corn crop. Yeah, that did increase milk and egg prices.

People forget the role of the mini computer in our economy. Polarization of the mainframe and PC did not lead to a use for a mini. Hey, as a result the middle was gone. Sadly, we lost a lot of expertise in the process. Wish that things were not so. Basically, we should have planned ahead more. VAX 11/780

Social media can ruin your rep. Posting under pressure we say. Students need to learn to shut up. Basically, we are not a democracy anymore. Yeah, do not say anything controversial that can come back to bite you. Look before you leap and exercise some care.

Thursday, January 03, 2013

Future is different than now. Case in point is that people do not play sports anymore. Most of their focus is to find food so they can survive. That becomes a 24/7 job of every one. Also down on the list is music. When people are hungry, few take time to write love poems. Expect sports to become less common. Then simply to go away.

Florida will produce less oranges. Output of citrus is in decline now. What do we say. Drink up my fine fellows, for we expect an exciting new year.
